Smart and Efficient Growth Drivers

Introduced several game-changing technologies to accelerate AI innovation. We launched the MillenniumM1, an AI multiphysics supercomputer, enabling system designers to create breakthroughs in sustainability for transportation, energy generation, and do it in a more energy efficient manner than using traditional compute. We introduced the next generation of our hardware verification platform—critical for the customers building the AI infrastructure. We introduced Celsius Studio, the industry’s first complete AI thermal design and analysis solution, which is key for addressing the complex forces at work in 3D-IC.

We completed strategic acquisitions, including Invecas and BETA CAE, strengthening our solutions for end-to-end design. We also achieved significant breakthroughs in 3D-IC design, driving advancements in automotive chiplets with industry leading partners to deliver the industry’s only automated routing solution for die-to-die and die-to-substrate designs, improving productivity and performance for high-performance computing.

Each year, we take steps to strengthen our innovation culture at Cadence through a variety of programs and community building. We support our workforce throughout the employee lifecycle including onboarding, career development, total rewards, and wellness. Our programs foster high trust, collaboration, and teamwork. Based on these efforts, our global team of innovators has grown by 13% year over year.

Tone at the Top

We reported to our Board of Directors on our sustainability efforts and initiatives, including review of our sustainability program progress, culture and engagement initiatives, and the Cadence Foundation signature programs. We are pleased that in May 2023, Mary Louise (ML) Krakauer assumed the role of the Board Chair, bringing her distinct and fresh perspective to the leadership of our Board.

Expanded Zero-Trust Security Model and Improved Cyber Resilience

We expanded our Zero-Trust security model to include research and development environments. We maintained focus on improving security operations and cyber resilience by minimizing the time required to detect and respond to security incidents while continuously improving our security intelligence and analytics platform across hybrid environments.

Focus on Supplier Engagement

Through partnering with suppliers, approximately two-thirds of our upstream Scope 3 data are calculated using supplier’s actual reported emissions

We continued to promote and extend our rigorous governance standards across our value chain

We updated our Supplier Code of Conduct (SCOC) to align with RBA Code of Conduct 8.0 and initiated compliance with our top suppliers to the updated SCOC
