Course Description
This learning plan will provide in-depth knowledge of the Allegro® X System Capture schematic entry tool, followed by the Allegro X PCB Editor tool, followed by high-speed constraint management. You will start with a brief introduction to the Pulse Data Platform, followed by modules using the Allegro X System Capture schematic entry tool. Then, you will use the Allegro X PCB Editor tool. You will also explore the Allegro X Constraint Manager to set physical, spacing, and electrical rules.
Learning Objectives
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Introduction to Pulse
Identify the key attributes of the Pulse Data Platform
- Allegro X System Capture
Create a System Capture projectCreate flat and hierarchical System Capture designsCreate DE-HDL library symbols in the System CaptureCopy System Capture schematic pagesImport DE-HDL and System Capture blocksGenerate a BOM reportEdit properties and define routing rulesExport the design to PCB Editor for placement and routing
- Allegro X PCB Editor Basic Techniques
Efficiently navigate the user interfaceCreate library parts that are used throughout the entire process of the board layoutImport logic design dataIdentify the different design rules and set them in your designPlace your design interactivelyRoute nets interactivelyRun the automatic router
Create copper areas for planesProduce manufacturing output and documentationWork with 3D Canvas
- Allegro X High-Speed Constraint Management
Define specific net scheduling of high-speed netsMatch the propagation delay of nets and connectionsDefine minimum and maximum propagation delays for nets and connectionsIdentify high-speed constraint violationsIdentify all the high-speed constraints that you can apply to the nets in your designsCreate spacing and physical constraints as well as area constraints and class-to-class rulesCustomize worksheetsCreate formula-based constraintsCreate customized constraints using the SKILL® programming languageCreate return path constraints
