Course Description
This course introduces you to the Cadence® Midas™ Safety Platform. In this course, you learn the difference between safety and functional safety, Midas Safety Platform features, and integration of the Midas Safety Platform with digital design and implementation flow. You will learn the insertion of safety mechanisms in the design and how you can verify the functionality of safety mechanisms. You will also learn how to implement safety mechanisms in the design to achieve functional safety.
Learning Objectives
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Define functional safety
- Compare safety and functional safety
- Demonstrate the Midas Safety Platform and its features
- Illustrate the Midas integration with the Genus™ Synthesis Solution, Innovus™ Implementation System, and Conformal® Equivalence Checker tools to implement functional safety
- List out different types of safety mechanisms
- List out the USF commands and intent to implement functional safety
- Explain the insertion of safety mechanisms with the Genus Synthesis Solution
- Analyze the functionality of safety mechanisms in Conformal Equivalence Checker
- Implement the safety mechanisms with the Innovus Implementation System
