Course Description
Microwave Office is a Cadence design platform tailored for RF and Microwave engineers to design, simulate, and verify RF systems. Electromagnetic (EM) simulation engines, particularly AXIEM for planar EM simulation and Clarity for comprehensive 3D EM simulations, are integrated into the platform.
This course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of electromagnetic (EM) simulation within the Microwave Office environment. It covers the integration and functionality of the Clarity 3D Solver, enabling users to create and simulate EM projects effectively. You will learn to manage cell hierarchy and positioning, configure simulation settings, position sub-cells, and create 3D cells within Microwave Office layouts, enhancing your ability to handle complex RF and microwave design challenges.
The laboratory exercises reinforce the topics introduced in the lectures, including meshing, port setup, local layout cells in Clarity, and microstrip line on a board connected to a line on a chip with bond wires.
