Course Description
In this course, you will learn how to use the FINE/Marine software for advanced simulations like seakeeping, all kinds of maneuvering, and (self-)propulsion. In addition, this course explains how to write scripts for automation purposes and how to handle cavitation or ventilation phenomena. This course will also introduce the notions of adaptive grid refinement and overset.
This course is adapted for advanced users of FINE/Marine.
Learning Objectives
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Set up meshes and simulations for seakeeping, maneuvering and (self-)propulsion, including with overset or adaptive grid refinement feature, at model or full scale
- Write your own scripts for automation
- Understand the CFD requirements to properly model cavitation, ventilation
- Upon request, some other topics like shallow water, hydrofoils, and wind studies can also be discussed
