Course Description

In this course, you use the Virtuoso® ADE Assembler to run analog design simulations. You use available assistants in the tool to parameterize the design and create sweeps of global and local variables that assist in simulating multiple design points and in regression. You also set up and run corner analysis and use expressions to measure data across corners and sweeps.
This course is a part of the Virtuoso ADE Explorer and Assembler series:
  • Virtuoso ADE Explorer and Assembler S1: ADE Explorer and Single Test Corner Analysis
  • Virtuoso ADE Explorer and Assembler S2: ADE Assembler and Multi Test Corner Analysis
  • Virtuoso ADE Explorer and Assembler S3: Sweeping Variables and Simulating Corners
  • Virtuoso ADE Explorer and Assembler S4: Monte Carlo Analysis, Real-Time Tuning and Run Plans

Learning Objectives

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Access the Variables and Parameters assistant in the Assembler
  • Parameterize variables and perform sweep simulations
  • Sweep local design variables
  • Match device properties across multiple devices
  • Create Parametric Sets for global variables and parameters
  • Create design corners using PVT information
  • Apply specifications to outputs in a corners simulation
  • Perform sweeps and corners simulation in the same run
