Course Description
In this course, you will set up and run simulations for Analog/Mixed-Signal designs using the Virtuoso® ADE Assembler. Using the maestro cellview, you will set up, run and plot the results for multiple tests. You will also examine and manage the simulation history.
This course is a part of the Virtuoso ADE Explorer and Assembler series:
- Virtuoso ADE Explorer and Assembler S1: ADE Explorer and Single Test Corner Analysis
- Virtuoso ADE Explorer and Assembler S2: ADE Assembler and Multi Test Corner Analysis
- Virtuoso ADE Explorer and Assembler S3: Sweeping Variables and Simulating Corners
- Virtuoso ADE Explorer and Assembler S4: Monte Carlo Analysis, Real-Time Tuning and Run Plans
Learning Objectives
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Start the Virtuoso ADE Assembler environment and set up single and multiple tests in the environment
- Describe and create maestro cellviews
- Use the Spectre® simulator to run simulations on maestro cellviews
- View waveforms in a docked waveform viewer ViVA
- Transition between the Assembler and Explorer
- Translate ADE-XL and ADE-L setups to the Assembler
- Set up different types of expressions/signals to be evaluated
- Set specifications on measured values
- View, interpret and operate on results
- Explore the simulation history tree in the maestro view
- Run simulations incrementally
