Course Description
In this course, you use the Virtuoso® Visualization & Analysis XL tool to browse, evaluate, analyze and plot your simulation results from Virtuoso ADE Explorer. You use it as a separate tool as well as an integrated graph assistant inside the ADE Explorer. Using the Results Browser, you access the simulation database. You use the Calculator to post-process information and also use the Direct Plot Form from the ADE Explorer to plot specific analysis-related information directly on the waveform viewer.
This course is part of the Virtuoso ADE Explorer series of courses:
- Virtuoso ADE Explorer S1: Set Up and Run Analog Simulations Using the Spectre Simulator
- Virtuoso ADE Explorer S2: Analyzing Simulations Using the ViVA XL Waveform Tool
- Virtuoso ADE Explorer S3: Corner Analysis and Monte Carlo Simulations
- Virtuoso ADE Explorer S4: Real-Time Tuning, Checks/Asserts, and Reliability Analysis
Learning Objectives
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Use the Virtuoso Visualization & Analysis XL tool to view simulation results in the waveform viewer
- Use the graph tool as an integrated assistant in the Virtuoso ADE Explorer
- Work with the plotting and measurement options available in ViVA XL that aid in extracting information from simulated data
- Use graph and trace attributes to customize and personalize the waveform display
- Use markers and cursors to precisely measure time points and signal values
- Use the Results Browser to select signal values in multiple result directories
- Create tables to display multiple results or signals that vary with simulation parameters
- Use the calculator in ViVA XL to create expressions and use available functions to evaluate the required information from the simulation results
- Use the built-in functions available in the Direct Plot form
