Course Description
In this course, you set up and run advanced statistical analysis on designs. You analyze yield and identify the mismatch contribution of your devices to see which results need improvement. You use Monte Carlo techniques to estimate the yield without using a large number of samples and then use this information and create statistical corners to analyze statistical variation in the circuit and decrease its impact on the yield. These can aid in manual tuning and applying optimization techniques to your design. You also explore the Spectre® Fast Monte Carlo use model in command line and ADE. You then run FMC simulations and view the output log file.Learning Objectives
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Set up and run a Monte Carlo analysis
- Determine the yield after a Monte Carlo run
- Print statistical parameters and plot histograms
- Postprocess Monte Carlo results and create statistical corners that can be in future simulations used to tune or optimize your design
- Use the Virtuoso® Variation Option license to run advanced options of the Monte Carlo run mode
- Analyze device contribution to mismatch using the Sensitivity Accuracy method
- Analyze Spectre Fast Monte Carlo Method
- Explore the Spectre FMC use model in command line and ADE
