Built on the Virtuoso Studio platform, Virtuoso HI for RF incorporates new co-design capabilities for simultaneous editing of the IC and SiP modules. Its multiple electromagnetic (EM) analysis solvers give designers different methods of physical extraction that can easily be entered back into the schematic without breaking the golden schematic. The trusted simulation and analysis engines are integrated tightly with Virtuoso ADE Suite and Cadence Spectre RF Option for high-performance simulation.
Electromagnetic Analysis

Integrating multiple smart EM solvers into Virtuoso HI for RF designs provides the right analysis solution for cross-fabric design while automating hours of manual work required to extract the electrical performance of critical passive components and interconnects. The EM assistant generates and manages all EM-extracted S-parameters or models from the layout, embedding the results directly in Spectre circuit simulations. The layout stays current without the need to manage multiple layout views when running experiments of various layout structures. You may choose the optimal EM solver for your design: Cadence Clarity 3D Solver for the 3D finite element method, Cadence EMX 3D Planar Solver for the fast multipole method, or Cadence Quantus Extraction Solution for RLC extraction and the PEEC method.
