- Provides capacity-on-demand to address changing project needs
- Supports all Palladium usage modes
- Provides access to Cadence SpeedBridge Adapters
The growth of design sizes and cost are driving an ever-growing compute demand for design verification. Customers are looking to seamlessly leverage the public cloud to augment their internal compute resources. The comprehensive Cadence® Cloud portfolio anticipates this need by offering the Cadence Palladium® Cloud solution, a managed emulation solution offering secure and easy access to pre-purchased gate capacity. The Palladium Cloud extends to the public cloud a capability that had traditionally been deployed only in on-premise labs, turning what would have been a capital expenditure into an operational expense, and allowing customers to augment their environmental resources with on-demand, cloud-based emulation hardware. As a directly-delivered, cloud-based emulation environment hosted in a professionally managed, Cadence-contracted datacenter, the Palladium Cloud allows existing customers to address peak need easily, while bringing emulation hardware access and benefits to new customers and markets.
Palladium Cloud provides a dynamic, elastic supply of emulation capacity that can be activated as needed, thereby accelerating project turnaround time to meet critical market windows. The Palladium Cloud provides customers short-term access to dynamically scalable emulation capacity. Whether addressing unanticipated design size increase or running multiple copies to improve throughput, Palladium Cloud allows for the shaping of capacity in increments of 32 million gates up to a peak of 2 billion gates, allowing a customer to receive the exact capacity they need when they need it. Additionally, the Palladium Cloud can be combined with Cadence Cloud-Hosted Design Solutions to provide a complete, cloud-hosted design flow or environment.
The Palladium Cloud provides uncompromised access to all use modes, flow, and accessories that are available on the Palladium platform. Building on over 25 years of experience and innovation in emulation, customers can implement any setup in Palladium Cloud that they would implement on their own premise. Whether implementing in-circuit emulation with Cadence SpeedBridge® Adapters, virtual emulation, simulation acceleration, or power analysis with DPA, customers can use Palladium Cloud to replicate their setup to address peak demands in the project.
Combining the Palladium Cloud with the Cloud Passport or the Cloud-Hosted Design Solution adds additional versatility to the Palladium Cloud offering. With the Cloud-Hosted Design Solution, the Palladium Cloud can be connected to a secure, managed cloud chamber to create an entire verification cloud or complete end-to-end design environment.
Hosted in a professionally managed, Cadence-contracted, 2N fully-redundant datacenter, Palladium Cloud builds on over a decade of experience of hosted designs to provide a tested and secure environment for customer data. All the computing elements in the chamber, including the emulator, are data isolated from other chambers. Using a patented architecture, sound Information Security and industry best policies—and years of experience—Cadence ensures that customer data is safe and secure from any potential threats.
We successfully ran more than 500 million instances flat using the fully distributed Cadence Tempus Timing Signoff Solution on the CloudBurst platform via AWS to complete the tapeout of our latest TSMC 7nm networking chip. This would have been impossible to achieve in the required timeframe if we hadn’t deployed...
