The new Cadence® Virtuoso® RF Solution improves the design cycle productivity, reducing errors in manufacturing and accounting for the electrical and physical effects within a single environment across IC, package, and board design. It offers a flexible system-level simulation for RF and digital blocks, enabling the verification of RF blocks within a single environment along with integrated EM analysis, all in a schematic-driven flow to reduce time and errors.
Engineers need comprehensive support for custom mixed-signal and analog design at the device, cell, and block levels. And selectively automating non-critical aspects of RF design will enable engineers to focus on precision-crafting their designs. System designers can now access layout solutions to automate and accelerate custom block authoring, as well as advanced features for device generation and editing, block floorplanning, automatic placement, and interactive routing.
The new Virtuoso RF Solution allows the designer to:

The automated bidirectional interface with the Cadence SiP-level implementation environment and Sigrity™ PowerSI® 3DEM Extraction Option enables accelerated IC package and PCB power-integrity and signal-integrity analysis as well as electromagnetic interface (EMI)/electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) analysis. This approach enables seamless integration between the IC and package substrate design teams to streamline and automate the design of a package/module featuring off-chip devices and multiple ICs based on differing process design kits (PDKs).
