Cadence is committed to keeping design teams highly productive. A range of support offerings and processes helps Cadence users focus on reducing time-to-market and achieving silicon success. Overview
- Solves large-scale verification simulation challenges for complex analog, RF, and mixed-signal blocks and subsystems
- Scalable and massively parallel simulation for today’s cloud
- Up to 10X speed and 5X capacity improvement while maintaining Spectre golden SPICE-level accuracy
The Cadence® Spectre® X Simulator enables you to solve large-scale verification simulation challenges for complex analog, RF, and mixed-signal blocks and subsystems, while maintaining the accuracy expected of the Spectre simulation family. In addition, the Spectre X Simulator allows you to massively distribute simulation workloads, enabling greater speed and capacity.
The Spectre X Simulator performs advanced SPICE-accurate simulation with faster convergence, scalable performance, and higher capacity, including a new mode for handling the largest system simulations. It is tightly integrated with the Cadence Virtuoso® custom IC design platform, allowing engineers to capture and pass design intent from the simulation environment, and it provides all the transistor-level analysis capabilities of the Spectre Circuit Simulator.
Taking advantage of the latest mathematical solving techniques, combined with maximizing new hardware potential, the simulator’s approach to constructing the solution matrix and efficient equation solving has allowed Cadence to redefine what an analog circuit simulator can do in terms of performance, capacity, and distribution capabilities without compromising on accuracy standards.
Designs using Spectre AMS Designer or the Cadence Legato™ Reliability Solution will benefit from the analog speed and capacity improvements natively built into the core of the Spectre X engine. The Spectre X Simulator also supports the design flows in the Virtuoso ADE Product Suite, Virtuoso RF Solution, and Cadence Photonic Solution.
The Spectre X Simulator addresses today’s complex analog simulation challenges and is part of the broader Cadence custom suite. It supports the company’s Intelligent System Design strategy, enabling system-on-chip (SoC) design excellence.
