Course Description

Allegro Sigrity PowerSI provides a coherent methodology for the design and fabrication of power-delivery networks (PDN) in high-speed printed circuit boards (PCBs). Power-delivery network design includes voltage regulator modules, decoupling capacitors, and power/ground planes. In this course, you use the PCB PDN Analysis software, to design a stable power distribution system to support high-speed circuit operation.

Learning Objectives

After completing this course, you will be able to:

o   Set up a board database for analysis

o   Define a target impedance

o   Perform plane analysis to validate and refine your capacitor selection

o   Assign capacitor models to an existing printed circuit board

o   Run a network analysis on an existing printed circuit board
