Cadence India is present in Noida, Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad. Established in 1987, the Noida site is the largest Cadence R&D site outside the U.S. R&D work done in India focuses on developing design automation solutions to address the needs of advanced technology nodes by leveraging Cadence leadership in EDA technology. Field Operations provide sales and engineering support across all Cadence platforms. The sites also include global customer support, marketing, finance, human resources, IT support, and administration functions.

Jaswinder S. Ahuja is Corporate VP & India Country Manager of Cadence Design Systems in India. Jaswinder heads Cadence’s India Field Operations (including sales, marketing and technical customer support functions) and the India Operating Region.
Jaswinder started his career with Cadence in 1988 as a software engineer and has led the India operations since 1996. Under his leadership the India center has grown from an R&D site of around 120 to a corporate resource center of over 1000 employees across R&D, Corporate IT support, Global Customer Care and Field Operations. From 2002 to 2004 Jaswinder was based at Cadence headquarters in San Jose, California and was responsible for establishing and leading the Strategic R&D Partnerships and the R&D Central Operations functions for the company. From 2003 to 2008 he was responsible for the R&D Globalization Program and establishing R&D centers in Russia, China and Taiwan in addition to India.
Jaswinder serves on the board of advisors of FirstRain, Inc. and Zafesoft, Inc. He has been an active member of the India Semiconductor Association, serving as Chairman in 2007-08 and on the Executive Council for several years.
Jaswinder has a BTech in Electronics Engineering from IT-BHU, Varanasi and an MS in Computer Engineering from Northeastern University, Boston, USA. He also holds an Executive MBA from Stanford University, USA.
