More than 600 Cadence India employees participated in a mini-Olympics competition recently to raise awareness and US$5,000 for children as part of the Cadence India Make a Child Smile (MACS) initiative. The initiative was first started in 2000. Employees involved in the program are dedicated to helping underprivileged children in India through both direct employee involvement and in partnership with various non-government organizations (NGOs).
Employees across all business units formed cross-functional teams for various sports. One Cadence, One Team! The sports required participants to have stamina and skill, and were innovatively designed to be enjoyable and fun to watch. Participants took the event seriously as they practiced hard, intensely debated conflicts during the games and celebrated every win, all to raise money for MACS.
To kick it all off, a talented group of employees spent hours after work putting together the music and choreography, and surprised their colleagues at lunch with a flash mob.
