    Timing Violation Warning Reply

I have run gate simulation with SDF. I meet the following warning.
    Warning!  Timing violation
Scheduled event for delayed signal of net "D" at time 275093160 PS was candeled!
                  File: xxxxxxx line=xxx
                  Scope: xxxxx

Can anybody tell me what this mean? I add +notchkmsg but this message still print. Can anybody tell me why?

    Thanks!

    RE: Timing Violation Warning Reply

    Hello Huyong,

If you are asking what the message means.

A timing check verifies the timing performance of a design by making sure that critical events occur within given time limits. A timing check performs the following steps:
       1. Determines the elapsed time between two events.
       2. Compares the elapsed time to a specified minimum or maximum time limit.
       3. Reports a timing violation if the elapsed time occurs outside the specified time window.

If you are asking how to turn the message off:
I think (but not sure) You can add  +nonotifier +no_tchk_msg to your switches to turn the message off. Please let me know if it works

    Best Regards
    Doug

    Hi Doug

Thank you for you answer. I the +no_tchk_msg do not turn the message off. I use +ncnontcglitch to turn it off

    Thanks
