    IDF data Reply

    Hello Everybody,

I have a problem with IDF(PTC) Data creation . I am assighning the Height of the  componenet to PLACE BOUND TOP. When I Exporting to the  IDF  format it is taking Default height of the components mentioned in Default Height block. PLZ give me a sollution for this.

    Thanks in advance.

    RE: IDF data Reply

I tried this on 15.7 s024 using IDF OUT -> PTC, Version 3.0

My database is in mils, PACKAGE_HEIGHT_MAX = 374.016 MIL

This works ok. Must be something more specific....

What version of Allegro and Units are you using?

I've exported idf 3.0 files from 16.0 with no problems. Make sure that you're setting the package_height_max property in the place_bound_top in the footprint, then update your symbols to your design. I've exported to Solidworks successfully with proper component heights this way.

The IDF out function can't support the height, which you assigned to a Place_bound_top/bottom Shape manually.
You should set height in symbol editor.
