I can't double click and open with allegro.exe Reply

I installed 16 and now I can't double click and open with allegro.exe Tried changing windows file type etc like I've done since windows 3 or whenever windows came out and had files types? When I try and browse to allegro.exe to select it as program to use, it doesn't retain it when I go back to the window were you would say apply? I could double click in 15.7, also can double click dsn and it open with capture in 16 like it did in 15.7. Anyone run into this or have any suggestions ??? TNX! Rgds Joe PS: I did submit a sourcelink help requset also.

    Hi Joe,

Just give a try going to windows Tools-->Folder options, move to File types tab and select BRD (Allegro icon), click on Advanced tab -->Edit and use browse to map to 16.0 allegro.exe path say ok till all windows closes.

Follow the arrow path as shown in the picture.

    Hope this helps. Good Luck!!

    Nagaraj.

I think Joe means you cannot click on a *.cpm file and open it in Proj Mgr anymore. At least, I've noticed this behavior with 16.0 and manually assigning *.cpm to open with projmgr.exe [like what Nagaraj shows] does not work.
