back annotation from allegro to orcad cis Reply

    Hai all,

we are using allegro design entry 15.7 and capture cis.  i generated back annoatation on allegro pcb editor, when i turned to schematic the updations are not done properly.

i create same file names for both sch and pcb. And both the files are in same directory.

if anyone knows please give the clear path for the above.

    Hi
There are some things to remember in backannotation. First do not rename the schematic before backannotation and do not
move the schematic or pst*dat files from their original directory. The netilst files are branded with the original schematic name and also the original directory path that the pst*dat files were placed.

It doesn't matter where the schematic and board files are located it matters where the pst*.dat and view*.dat files are located.
These need to be in the same directory.

If you still have problems I would suggest you contact your local VAR. They may need to see your design.

    Regards
