Can Power Plane be used as a return Reply

    Hello All,

I have a doubt , as we always try to use GND planes as the return path for our signal, can we use PWR plane as a return path for signals. If you agree with it do you have any paper or document which says that . It will be helpful.

    Thanks,
    Have a great Day

Planes, whether GND or PWR, definitely form a return path for the signals.

Here is a good link that I can point you to help you understand more. Andrew Ingraham has good explanation:

There are other good explanations as well on the same forum. Dig the mailing list to get more.
