    Stacked Via routing issue. Reply

    Help Needed from the Gurus:

There's an issue raised for routing HDD designs. I've heard ExP (Expedition) can easily route HDD designs. They apparently have a very easy way to transition their via routing to accomidate stacked via designs. I've heard that when you're routing on layer 1, let's say, and you'd simply hit a key, and it places the stacked via structure to, say, layer 5. I can envision this using allegro, but don't see how to route a sequential build (HDD) board.

Anyone have a good routing routine to accomidate this limitation? I've heard this is an extreme requirement for cell phone designs.

    Anyone? Help...  :)

    Thanks in advance.
