    setup of Valor ODB++ Inside Reply

    OK, it's snowing like crazy, so I decided to install the Valor ODB plugin. HOWEVER, I cannot figure out where (and how) to set the Allegro_brd2odb environment variable.  I "am" the administrator, but not versed well in these special setups.  Any help out there?

    On windows XP system,

    Select Mycomputer, Right mouse button click, go to properties, jump to advanced. Here you can click on environmental variables and set your Allegro_brd2odb under system variables. Allegro should do that automatically when u install by going to Allegro menu File>export>ODB option.

    My variable now reads Allegro_brd2odb = C:\Valor\ODB++Inside

    Try this and this should help you.

    Good Luck!!

    I'm using Win2k, but I already tried that (same as you have it) and it still comes up with an error window in Allegro saying that the variable allegro+bed2odb is not defined : (File-->export-->ODB++Inside)
