    Orcad edif design problems Reply

Hello, I have a problem whith exporting my complete hierarchical design into Edif. For some reason I am missing my occurrence data in this edif file. I set the OutputBackannotation in the CAP2EDI.DLL to 1. But I still cannot find the correct part reference numbers in my edif file when I use multiple instances from a hierarchical block. For example: When I use a hierarchical block twice and I have a part called C1 in the hierarchical sheet. I give as occurrence value C1 and the other one C2. When I export my design, I still find twice a part C1, I cannot find C2. Is this a known bug, or did I do something wrong. Kind Regards, Arno Thijssen

I tries and tested something. There is a strange thing. When I have 4 hierarchical blocks, with a reference to the same hierarchical circuit, I only can find the occurrence values for the 2nd hierarchical reference. The other occyurrence values are missng. These reference designators do not exist in the EDIF file.

Does anybody recognises this problem too ?

    Kind regards,

    Arno
