We use positive solid ties for plane connections but have need on occasion to selectively thermally tie certain components. Is there a way to selectively thermal tie?

I assume you're using dynamic shapes.

You can edit a property of the pin to control how that particular pin gets connected. The property is called "dyn_thermal_con_type".

I hope this answers your question.

That's it! Thanks so much. I tried that earlier on a hunch and it didn't work so I gave up. But, after seeing your reply, I tried it again and this time also chgd from dynamic to static and back again and the ties now show up.
