    importing sub-drawings Reply

Is there any reason why we can not navigate to the directory where the sub-drawing resides? The problem is that we use a sub-drawing for our fan outs and we do not want to copy these files to the design directories over and over each time. Any feedback on this is appreciated

Set the variable 'clip_filebrowser' and you will be able to browse. This variable is found under Setup > User Preferences - Browser - category.

If you want to only look in a specific location, modify your 'clippath' variable setting to point to the specific location of your sub-drawings. This is found under Setup > User Preferences - Config_paths - category.

    Have fun! :)
