This is a posting to reaffirm you of some features in Manufacturing NC Drill Legend that may not be obvoius to you.
As of the SPB152 release, the first time you place down a drill legend, you must select the location point as in previous releases. The legend is placed and you may move it afterwards since now it is a single group entity. Make sure you have the Find Filter to select Groups when selecting the drill legend. If you decide to redo the drill legend later because of some changes to the design, it does not matter where you make the selection point. The drill legend will revert to the original position. If you want the original position to be changed, then you should first delete the original drill legend before running the drill legend command a second time. (Please note that if you are working with a blind/buried via type design and you add a new blind/buried via stackup that does not already exist in the design, then the second time you run the drill legend, the new legend for that stackup will go to the newly selected location and the others which pre existed in the design will go to where the original ones were. In this case you may want to either delete all the drill legends first or simply move the new one into the position where you want it.)
One other comment is that you may use the Allegro environment variable
set nclegend_file = your.dlt
to change which template file (.dlt) will be used as your default when running the drill legend command. Some users have named their template file to the Cadence default of default-mil.dlt to fool the system. This is no longer required and is not recommended.
