    hii all,
    i need to know how to perform eye diagram simulation in spectre and how to generate random i/p data ?

    Just run a transient simulation and then use the eyeDiagram function in the calculator to plot the eye diagram. Or with wavescsan/viva you can double-click on the x-axis and setup the eye diagram that way.

    There are various random sources in ahdlLib - e.g. rand_bit_stream

    hi andrew,
     
    i've tried generating prbs data with rand_bit_stream as you said, but getting one problem.
    When i am increasing my simulation time the output from it is not achieving full voltage swing and not a square pulse anymore,but a triangular wave type..

    could you suggest some solution please.
    i would be grateful.
