    CREF error Reply

    Hi All,

I'm running SPB16.6-S024. My question is about Design Entry HDL.

I took an existing schematic from another person and modified it. I added some off page connectors, and this is where the problem came in. When I tried to run the CRefer tool I got the following error.......

........sch_1\page1.csb: No known page border found.

If page borders other than those provided in standard library are used, please specify these in the cref data file

I checked all the schematic pages and as far as I can tell, the borders are all standard. Am I missing something? The schematic already had a number of off page connectors and they were all properly referenced, so I'm thinking I unknowingly changed something. Thanks!

    Bob

It sounds like the page used is not listed in the cref.dat file. Look at either CDS_SITE (if you have one) or <your_install_dir>\share\cdssetup\creferhdl folder and edit the cref.dat file with a text editor and make sure that the page used is listed in this file with the grid locations specified etc. It's a good idea to copy an exisitng page detail and modify to suit. Then when you run the crefer the page is found and you shold be able to get past this error.

    Hi Bob,

This is a fairly common error. You need to insure that all page borders (and versions) and listed in the cref.dat file.

Here’s the Cadence Online Support Article that will resolve this:
