Tip of the Week: Searching for design variables in ADE hierarchy Reply

Ever have a mystery variable pop up in your artist state?
You start a simulation, but spectre refuses to execute the run.
It drops a name into the design variable list, says it's present in the schematic,
tells you that it needs to be set, but won't tell you where.

Analog artist has a simple tool for searching out variables in simulation schematics.
    Here's how to use it:

    1) Have analog artist open to the simulation schematic, and with the design variables list populated.
    2) click on the variable name in the design variables list.
    3) "Variables" Menu --> Select "Find" command

Analog artist then highlights all the components in the simulation schematic which use the variable.

(Thanks to Domenic G. for providing this solution.)
