    Quick layer replacement within a whole Layout Reply

    For example I have some big layout. And there are many metals with one layer name, if I do not want to go ahead and select each layer, go to its properties and replace its layer to another, and I want specific type of layer within design changed to another type right away automatically, how can it be done?

    Hi Kabal,

    Probably the easiest way (without selecting the objects of interest and using the Property Editor Assistant) is to use the Find/Replace features.

    Go to Tools->Find/Replace

    Search for: any shape (for example)      Click Add Criteria

    Select a layer to search for.

    In the  Replace section : select target layer.

    Then click Replace All.

     Regards

    Colin
