Package Symbol Wizard Padstack Browser selection Reply

Hi, I'm using OrCAD PCB Editor 16.5 and trying to create a footprint.  I've made the padstack for this footprint and saved it to a shared network location.  When I use the Package Symbol Wizard Padstack Browser, it has a giant list of pads from the local install and other (seemingly) random places.  Is there a way to filter or add location(s) that it pulls pad files from?

If I add pads later to an arbitrary folder, how can I access it in the padstack browser?

Setup>User Preferences, Paths. Library, PADPATH is the required entry for padstacks. Remove any, or all of the defaults, as required, and add your padstack locations. The list is searched top to bottom, first definition found is used for any duplicates. Don't set the "Favorite" for the Library Paths.

    Hi

When the list shows you can type the first letter or 2 before the star, then press tab - now the list is limites to shopping only names starting with the letters typed.

you can also use ? For just one letter

    Best regards

    Ole

Thanks guys - I figured there was a source list somewhere. Seems straight forward enough as long as I keep to different names for my pads...
