OrCAD library icon and links Reply

I am looking at an OrCAD library, discrete.olb in this case, and noticed that some of the symbol icons (which look like a little NOR gates) have a little line in them.  I think they are somehow linked to another symbol in that same library because I tried deleting a symbol and another symbol with a little line was deleted as well.  The example I am looking at is CAP NP and CAPACITOR NON_POL in the installed libraries.

My question is does that little line signify something, and if so what?  If these symbols are actually linked, can they be unassociated from each other?

Yes, they are linked, the parts are Aliases of another part - without the "line" through it. It's a way to get a number of differently named parts that have the same properties. To remove: Copy the Library to your own location, Open that Copy, edit a Part without a "line" through it, Options>Package Properties, Part Aliases, delete the aliases, save the part, save the library, repeat for all the parts.

Thank you sir.  That did it.  I am delving into the Capture world from twenty plus years in the Concept world, so my mind is spinning with the differences.
