    APD [Allegro Package Designer] Enquiries Reply
    • is that any idea I can view the padstack file (*.pad) in text format w/o lauching any Cadence Tool
    • How to run certain function automatically when tool is startup, i have tried with bad luck. Enclosed is the il file, refer below on my ilinit file
    • I have found an issue, which that when we create a Xsection, if the Subclass name is different from the layer name in padstack. the particular padstack wouldn't be imported. Any idea how to solve this issues.
    • what is the different when I set "0" and "leave blank " in constraint manage

    allegro.ilinit

    setSkillPath(buildString(append1(getSkillPath()  "D:/dump_files/041613")))
    ;
    ;    Lines preceded by ";" are comment lines
    ;
    ; replace D:/skill..... above with your path to the skill files. Remember the
    ; quotes. This MUST have a forward slash.
    ;
    ; The next line will print on the Command line in Allegro "allegro.ilinit file loaded".
    ; This is a good way to confirm the allegro.ilinit file actually is loaded.
    ;

    load("tcf_in.il")
    TS_tcfIn.autoload = "tcf_in.il"
    axlTriggerSet('open 'TS_tcfIn)
    ;axlCmdRegister("TS_tcf_in" 'TS_tcfIn)

    please help if any one know how to solve

    • Only way I can think of to view a padstack in text format w/o lauching a Cadence tool is to use "extracta"
    • Place the command at the end of your SKILL file or in your allegro.ilinit. See below
    • When building a padstack only define TOP, BOTTOM and INTERNAL layers, then when added to the database each layer will be updated
    • Not sure

    This is a file called myLoad.il

    (defun myLoad ()

      do stuff...

    ); myLoad

    myLoad()

     or you can place myLoad() in your allegro.ilint and not at the bottom of the SKILL file.
