    Place component error Reply

    Hi,everyone !

    I use allegro cadence 16.6 , window 8 ! in pcb editor ,when i place component ,one error  not found pad:

    although that pads are in folder:

    16.6 offical support of windows 8 only happened in hotfix 6 so make sure you are on that. Also check you padpath setting - Setup - User Preferences - Paths - Library and make sure your directory is included in the padpath setting.

    In second picture , padstack is setting ! pad is included that folder ! :(

    If the padpath is there (can't see your pictures) then make sure the syntax is exactly correct. You could try creating a directory c:\temp\pads and put the pads there.

    Maybe post the error message you see at the command line in Allegro. If you are using ssm and fsm files as part of the padstack you need to ensure the psmpath also points to the correct location.

     Are you sure that the psm files are in thelibrary directory. You may find this one useful
