    How to get assembly or placebound xy. Reply

    Dear All,

    Please help me about this issue. I have my dbID for this component, how can I get the assembly xy or placebound xy of my selected component? Thanks

    Assuming that your dbid for the component is "compdbid"...

    symboldbid = compdbid ->symbol
    xy = symboldbid ->xy
    placeboundShapes = setof(child, symboldbid ->children, child ->layer == "PACKAGE GEOMETRY/PLACE_BOUND_TOP")
    car(placeboundShapes) ->bBox; A shape doesn't have an xy attribute
