    Highlighting Dangling lines Reply

    Hi all,

    We need to highlight all dangling lines in one of our customer board. Is there any option to do it? I didn't find any option in hilight command.

    No highlight but if you run a dangling lines report (Tools - Reports) you will get a list which has co-ordinates in. Click on the co-ordinates and the screen will be centred on the dangling line.

     Thanks for your quick reply. Since the board is under rework, there are few hundreds of dangling lines/vias. Doing one by one is time consuming work. Is there any way to do it quick?

    You didn't say you wanted to delete them all but to highlight...... to delete all in one step run Route - Gloss. Go to Parameters and look at Line Smoothing - just check the dangling lines option..... then run only line smoothing by checking the box and clicking gloss.

    If you click through the dangling lines report you can keep the control key held down and then select each line as it appears. Once you have all of the lines selected use highlight. Not an elegant solution but it should work.

    Steve, As the board is under rework and our customer missed some components in present board and as the board is dense they want to know what and where the parts missing by highlighting the dangling traces.
