    DFA spreadsheet value ? Reply

    Hi everyone,

    in my design has BGA,VME connector,ADC and DAC and passive components like cap,res,diode are available.for DFA spreadsheet i need to set value between BGA to BGA ,BGA to CAP,VME connector To cap in spreadsheet.my customer could not give any value

    how to set the value between components,

    is there any doucement regarding DFA and guideline DFA is there

    Try the algroDFA.pdf in the doc\algroDFA directory of the installation. Any Allegro license 16.6 PCB Editor supports DFA.

    Thanks for your help,

    i know how to add DFA procedure .but i don't know how much value need to give for each cell (for example DFA for BGA to DFA capacitor  what value i need to give ) is there any doucment is there

    You are only going to be able to find this out from the Assembly machine / method. If you are going to hand assemble you are likley going to need to allow more space than for machine assembly. Equally for machine assembly, you are going to need to find out how much space the component handling mechanism is going to need, this might be minimal if the handling uses some suction method but will be larger if the handling uses some form of "claw". If you speak to your assembly house, or assembly machine provider, they will be able to supply you with the parameters for their component handling requirements for different components.
