LSF and ADEXL : Running two ADEXL jobs at the same time Reply

I am wondering if there is anyway to get ADEXL to run to jobs/tests at the same time within a single ADEXL session utilizing all the LSF resources that have been specified.

Today if I specify in job setup that utilizing LSF ADEXL can use 20 jobs for simulations and start a run that required 5 simulations it will run all 5 in parallel.  If, while the first ADEXL job is running, I make a circuit tweak and tell it to run again the new ADEXL jobs will sit in pending until the first 5 finish even though it hasn't reached the 20 job LSF limit I specified.

I'd like to see ADEXL start the second job immediatly if there are resources available.  Is there anyway to do this?

    Thanks

Go to Options->Run Options and then set the "run in" choice to "parallel".

Note that you should be cautious when modifying the design (I mean editing the schematic) if you have outstanding simulations scheduled which have not started yet. There is an environment variable to handle this, introduced in IC615 ISR12:

    envSetVal("adexl.simulation" "ignoreDesignChangesDuringRun" 'boolean t)

This essentially causes the netlisting to be done up front and shared between points - there are some limitations if you sweep parameters, but it will alert you if that's the case.

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew

Thanks Andrew, Setting to "parallel" works great. I'll set the env variable you recommended just to be safe.
