Thermal relief flash symbol not able display in PCB Editor. Reply

I have added a flash symbol for the thermal relief while creating the pad but it is not getting displayed in the PCB Editor.

    Any help is great.

    Thank You.

It's been a while since I have used a negative artwork since the positive dynamic shapes give you a WYSIWYG but if you have defined a flash and can't see it make sure that the layer is defined as a negative on under Setup - Cross section, there's a check box for negative artwork. You also need to check Shape - Global Dynamic Params and on the Clearances tab change the DRC mode to Thermal/Anti.

Alot of work when positive dynamic shapes work just a s well.....

@Steve. I couldn't agree more.  Everywhere I've worked (I've been doing CAD boards since the late 80s, hand-taped before that) where I have been in control of the technical process I have only allowed positive artwork. During a stint where I did not have this control I seriously messed up a VME backplane because of the inability of the tool we were using to run DRC checks on negative planes.
