Default view name for a custom cellview Reply

In order to create a custom cellview, I followed an example by Andrew which installed the "abSpectreNetlist" cellview (found somewhere on the internet, not to be found in this forum). The example works alright.

However, when creating a new cellview of that type (go CIW, File -> New -> Cellview), I'd like to have a default entry in the "View" field when selecting my custom type (eg. abSpectreNetlist) from the "Type" list. It dows work for most types such as schematic.

Could this be done for a custom type as well? Thanks!

    Chris,

You can do this with this cdsenv setting:

envSetVal("graphic" "viewNameToTypeList" 'string "SPICE Spice, aucdl Cdl")

This is a set of comma-separated pairs (each pair is space-separated) which consists of the viewName and type.

    Hope that helps.

    Andrew.
