    GPU computing for cadence tools? Reply

    Hi,

     While I am pulling quotes from Dell for Dell workstations(model T7500) I see they have additional component: NVIDIA® Tesla™ C2075 Computing Processor

     I am wondering how much helpful this will be for the users who will run Cadence tools(IC615,MMSIM) and synopsys/Mentor graphics tools.

     Will this additional component boost computations with cadence?

     The workstations already can be configured with processor:  Quad Core Intel® Xeon® Processor X5687 (3.60GHz,12M L3, 6.4G and 1.0GB NVIDIA® Quadro® 2000, Dual MON display adapter. 

     I want to add GPU computing component(NVIDIA® Tesla™ C2075 Computing Processor) only if it is going to helps perforamance boost in cadence tools.

    Please advise.
