    syntax of the expand.cfg file created by Hierarchy-Editor Reply

     Hi,

    what is difference between these two syntax found in the expand.cfg file created by Hierarchy-Editor.

     cell \123X_1P20 .ttip binding :symbol;

     cell FLAN_SCH.LDO_sch binding :symbol;

    When is the "\" and a space character before cell name is used. Can anybody help me to know the syntax to write a expand.cfg file by myself.

    The \ is used to escape an illegal Verilog name. In you case a name that starts with a number. The escape stays into effect until it reaches a space which stops the escape and is ignored.
