 transient noise simulation of PLL

    transient noise simulation of PLL Reply

    To achieven reliable simulation results, BDA suggests its transient noise simulator users to set the time step 1/20*Tvco for PLL simulation. Does Cadence has similar recommendation for its users for the same situation? If there is, how can I adjust the time step parameter in spectre? I found in spectre user guide that maxtimestep is limited to 1/noisefmax. So I can change time step by increase noisefmax, are there better (more efficient) ways to do that ?
