    How to instantiate a Qcell with given parameters.. Reply
    When i try to instantiate Qcell (cdsmos) in a cellview through skill it gives evaluation failure message. I have a few questions... I would like to know how to pass on parameters like w & l ? Should Qcell be treated as Pcells ? Which fuction 2 be used to instantiate Qcell, dbCreateParamInst() function or dbCreateInst()? Thanks in advance..

    Yes, you should use dbCreateParamInst() or dbCreateParamInstByMasterName() :

     inst=dbCreateParamInstByMasterName(geGetEditCellView() "LIB1" "mynmos" "layout" "" 0:0 "R0" 1 list(list("fw" 'string "20u") list("l" 'string "2u")))

    but then you need to call the CDF callbacks:

    CCSinvokeInstCdfCallbacks(inst)

    using the code from http://support.cadence.com/wps/mypoc/cos?uri=deeplinkmin:ViewSolution;solutionNumber=11018344

    Otherwise you'll have to also add the fingerWidth and fingerLength parameters (as floats) and also formalVersion (an integer, with value 3 in the case I tried - but best to use the callback).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
