    database pointers as properties in Virtuoso L 6.1.3 Reply

    Hell,

    I want to store a relationsship between two shapes within a cellView.

    Comparable to the connectivity, which returns the dbPointer to the net

    i.e.

    x=css()

    x~>net

    What is the best way to do ?

    My ideas were to store database pointers from object1 to object2 within a property, but I did not find a way to

    do this, since properties of type dbPointer are not permitted.

    The other way would be to store uniq Ids within properties, but this is slow, when searching for objects of the

    same property.

    This is what groups are for. Look at dbCreateGroup() and you can retrieve the groups via cv~>groups. Note that groups are only available on cellViews.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
