    Hi Prabhakar,

Please make your question more clear. Are you trying to move the rect/polygon to new area with new coordinate? Or you are seeking a way to calculate the area of the rect/polygon...

     Regards, How

Ye, I am trying to move the rect/polygons to new coordinate with same area.

    Ex: RECT0 = rect1 + rect2 + rect3 + .....

    I have drawn rects for RECT0 and rect1, rect2, rect3.... in a cell view.

Now, I would like to move these rect1, rect2, rect3.... into RECT0 with area being same & shape can be anything(RECT0 should be with same area and same shape).

If it's not clear, please tell me, I will try to  give more information about my problem in the next mail.

    Thanks & Regards

    Prabhakar. K

    Hi Prabhakar,

Sorry. I still can't what exactly you wants. BTW, to move object from a location to another, you may use function dbMoveFig.

eg:  Move object to coodinate 0:0 with rotation R0; dbMoveFig(rect_Id, cv list(0:0 "R0")

    How
