    How to find out wire is present in the path in schematic window Reply

    Hi Guys

    I am creating a wire with wire net expression in virtuoso schematic window.

    Before creating a wire i want to check whether ,the new wire creating by me is merging with the old wire already present,

    or touching the wire etc? Pls help me out how to find out ?

     For creating of wire i am using the below command and it works fine :

     wireid=car(schCreateWire( cv "draw" "full" list(0:0 10:0) 0.0625 0.0625 0.0 ))

     If u know ,pls let me know .

    Thanks and regards

     The command dbGetTrueOverlaps can be used to detect existing data at a point or within a bounding box.The bounding box could be just a repeated point (a box with 0 area)

    connWire = dbGetTrueOverlaps( cv list( 1:0 1:0 ) list("wire" "drawing") 0:0 )

    That searches at 1:0 for anything in the current cellView (start/stop level 0:0) for any shape on wire/drawing. Do this before you create the new wire.
