    errors while running LayoutPlus Reply

    Hi All,

I am very new to cadence. I get a lot of warning messages while running layoutPlus saying

    1. "No application registered for prefix Virtuoso Preview"

2 "No application registered for prefix floor plan hierarchy browser"

this only happens when i start layoutplus with the new 130nm library that i got for my thesis. however it doesnt happen with a relatively old 0.35u library.

Apart from this I tried following the cell_design tutorial for layouts. Everything works fine until i reach LVS. The LVS check just says that it failed, but when i go to open the output file it says it cant find or read si.out.

    Please Help

     Hi,

The "layoutPlus" executable does not include the Preview / Floorplan capabilities, so you will need to use "icfb" with this library - presumably, either the library (through a libInit.il file) or a.cdsinit file is loading some SKILL that uses one or more of the Preview SKILL functions (e.g. functions with a prefix of "adp").

    Regards.
