Monday 14th May
CDNLive! EMEA registration opened at 12:30pm.
Five Techtorials were held in parallel in the afternoon covering topics on:
- Virtuoso: Technology-file migration and interoperability using Virtuoso 6.1 technologies
- Encounter: A holistic approach to Low-Power Design
- Incisive: An in-depth look into the Incisive Software Extensions
- Allegro: Front-to-back constraint-driven PCB design flow
- Logic Design: Cadence Logic Design Team Solution
Following the techtorials, the Designer Expo and networking rounded up the day.
Tuesday 15th May
Mike Fister, Cadence CEO and President, started the morning sessions with his keynote, "Evolving Design Automation to Accelerate Product Development", followed by Rene Penning de Vries, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, NXP, who talked about, "Partnering for Strength and Scale".
The five technical track sessions followed (sessions held in parallel) - Custom Design, Digital Implementation, Functional Verification, SPB Co-design, Logic Design - at the Grand Hotel and a PCB day run by our local German Channel Partner, FlowCAD at the Arabella Bogenhausen.
Executives and press attended the Executive Track and Press Tracks.
During lunch time customers were given the opportunity to visit the Designer Expo.
The day's activities ended with a Cadence Technology Demo Night (22 different demos were presented ),
beer was served from the Cadence booth at the Designer Expo and the networking evening ended
with the Cadence Casino Night, with live music played by Cadence band " The Chad Tuckers".
Wednesday 16th May
More customer papers were presented in the five technical tracks. During lunch Craig Johnson,
Corporate Vice President, Marketing and Strategy, presented the Best Paper Awards together with
Wolfgang Stronski, Technical Marketing Director.
CDNLive! EMEA 2007 ended with Cadence Tool and Platform Demos in the afternoon.
